Software update 07/2020.80

Did anyone experience that version? currently I have the 07/2019.55 and been avoiding the new software upgrade primarily due to the loss of exhaust note. However i could swear that this morning my car doesn't sound like it sounded a couple days earlier, you guys think any neuturing went into the ECU even though I didn't install the software yet? I appreciate any feedback and insights.

I'm on 07/2020.60 and am still waiting for my 11/2020.50 update that is on the car but still not available to apply yet. With that said going from my previous 11/2019.60 to the 07/2020.60 update had no impact on the exhaust sound whatsoever (that was done with the OTA update to 11/2019.60 from my prior 11/2019).

For piece of mind nothing can be applied to the car until you go through the actual install process with iDrive. For what it's worth there have been times in which on short drives, e.g., a quick run to the grocery store which is less than 2 miles from the house the exhaust doesn't open up even with my settings for engine on Sport Plus and transmission in Sport.

The correlation I drew with that as the ambient temperatures were in the 50s (winter months in AZ) but now that we're in the 70s in the mornings and 90s in the afternoons even on those short drives the valves open up.
