I ran across a posting that says that starting MY 2023, European versions of M8s have a more stringent exhaust systems with additional filters that have to meet new and more demanding Euro 6+ emission standards and as a result of these additions, performance of 2023+ models is reduced comparing to earlier models (Euro 5 standard).

Can anyone say if US models also have more exhaust filters and therefore less performance?

I have seen my exhaust in the nude quite a bit (2023) and had a 2020, zero change in hardware. Software could be another story but not one I can tell with my exhaust mods; the car roars nicely---

So no extra filters or OPF shit.

No M8 would have been Euro 5. I think you’re thinking of the 2021MY change (Euro 6 RDE 2), but all M8’s will have had OPFs.
