M3 vs M8 (U-Drag)

So much for the M3 is as quick but much more "nimble".

1st run the Launch Control didn't even activate in the M8.

Just watched (before seeing it here) and its cool to have both cars currently... no surprise here stock vs stock where the hp gain outweighed the lighter G80X (no pun).

I like the concept too in theory: you get a drag, quarter run, g pulls, and rollers all built into one race.

Thanks for the post.

so 0-60 mph 0.3 sec advantage cost us 60K. to get another 0.3 sec advantage we need to get into turbo S and it costs 60K more !!! Magic formula !

Besides being lighter (only 300 lbs which isn’t much at all), it probably turns in quicker in part because it has lighter wheels than the crazy weight of the M8 wheels. What could be heavier?

The M8 is a different car when you shed 15 pounds per wheel and more including less rubber

We have one of each here. They are different cars. The 3 is more visceral. It does not have as much insulation so it sounds like a more "in your face" car. Which makes it a great car.
The 8 is more refined. Faster than hell in a more subdued package.
Both great cars.
