Does the wind deflector FOR CONV COME STANDARD??? Is it automatically included?

The dealer I am buying a preowned certified 20 2840 I convertible is saying that it was an option? Can anyone please confirm or offer me anything that shows that it is standard equipment?

It was optional on the predecessor 6 Series, so I'm pretty sure it was also optional on the 8. I would not take one for my 650 if someone offered it to me for free. I had one for my Mercedes CLK 550 and used it once. I don't like looking through the mesh in the rearview mirror, think it's overall ugly, and does not make that much difference.

I'm thinking it's probably an option for the 840 since it's the low trim model. Some Z4 models have a small screen, some don't (base model?). The models that come without the screen don't even have slots to add it later.

Thank you, everyone very much! I was buying a car certified and they were trying to tell me it was an option. But after I called Bmw North America, they in fact, told me it was a standard feature, and because the car was certified it was and should come with standard equipment, the dealer honored it and that was only after a BMW North America called them on my behalf. (Which I had to beg them to do and remind them that I just bought the new seven series as well)

So it’s standard equipment!

Yup make sure has display key too, lot of dealers try to get out of this

Based on the OP it's a 2020 which does not include the display key as that is the MY in which BMW dropped them from the 8-series. I was actually pleasantly surprised when my 2020 M850i arrived with two standard keyfobs and the NFC credit card key. I didn't want a display key as in my opinion it's just too bulky.

So if buying a 2019 CPO, etc. the display key should be included. But of course they are M850i coupes and/or the M850d in Europe. No convertibles, 840s, etc.
