Performance - Tuning 2023 M850i ?

Hello,

Wondering if there is a reliable and efficient tune/mod available for the new M850i on the 0-60 <-> 1/4 mile? I read mainly the jb4 is doing a great job, any other options ?

I know 2023 models might be tougher to tune as they are "locked" but still asking what might be available on a software level.

I had a RaceChip on a Ghibli 2017 and the improvements were pretty minor (if not inexistent) with lots of check engine lights...

other question - a friend of mine could change the drive train with x-delete, nothing of this available for an M850i ?

Thanks :-)

If you can wait 3-5 weeks without your car DME in texas will take care of it.

Can't say what went wrong with your Ghibli, but with no gain and lots of CEL, most likely is wrong installation. Cuz I've done couple Ghibli locally, and customer was happy.

Same as my M850 customers that purchased RaceChip. I haven't had a single issue.

yes, my ghibli was mostly a journey of unreliability, even if I love this car and found it extremely fun to drive.
M850 feels heavier and is definitely bigger but was looking for some tips on the tuning, so besides racechip and jb4, no other options ?

cheers!

There are others, like CarBahn and Dinan (which are private labeled RaceChip), DTE Tuning, VR Tuning (I believe also RaceChip private label), etc.

They should be locked but some have reported success in getting ECU tunes on 2020s and beyond. Catch-22 is an OTA upgrade will wipe the tune and relock the ECU again so keep that in mind if you get one done.

Yes, but need to send your ECU out in the mercy of UPS/Fedex/DHL to Russia or Finland office due to current situation in Russia, then put it in the mercy of those couriers otw back to you to unlock it.
Then, you can purchase the tune from any flash tuners, such as; BM3, RK Tunes, DME Tuning, etc.

And as bloozemanAZ said, if you get locked again, you'll need to do the whole process again.

Sorry to necro this thread, I bought A race ship from RK and love the power. It gives me however I want to run E85 and preferably an E85 blend. Sometimes I can get 93 sometimes I can get 85 is there anyway that I can buy something to allow it to figure out the tune whether it is mixed at 100% or zero or anywhere in between ?
