I recommend it but would be sensitive to raising torque limits too high if you start building the engine.

I presently run their Stage 3 tune and customize the launch set up to launch in second. The shifting is noticeably more aggressive than the factory settings.
Appreciate the reply. Have you done your rods and bearings? Thinking about this as some insurance. On the track quite a bit.

I did the RK Autowerks engine build which upgraded the rods and bearings. I have been happy with the engine build so far.

I’ve been on a stage 3 custom tune I did on my own for the past few months now. Motor isn’t built, stock internals. So far I haven’t noticed any issues with it. Took me a minute to really narrow down the settings between the shift speeds and throttle blips but finally at an enjoyable setting for daily use while having the quickness between gear shifts. Only thing I will say is the up shifts are pretty fast and most noticeable during the flash.

Stage 3

Settings I have activated on XHP:

Throttle blip
Kick down
Torque Reduction Upshifts
Take off on 2nd Gear as standard
Active Lin bump
Stop n go

Have not touched any of the torque limiters and don’t plan to.

Hope that helps.

Did you notice any gains in your 60-130 times?

I achieved gains in both 0-60 and 60-120. Gains really reduced after that for me, but I believe that is more tune/cam related.

Did you have a user guide for the adjustments that you made or were you already familiar with the necessary adjustments?

According to xhp,if no torque limit is set per gear, the maximum tq limit is used, not the factory setting.

Yes, for both 0-60 and 60/130, I noticed gains. Just don’t have a draggy report of it yet. Waiting to see my buddy who has the gps module to compare stats.

A combination between m5 forums xhp settings (since it shares the same tranny and engine), XHPs entire thread guideline (which breaks down the categories pretty well but just lengthy and doesn’t really provide combo specific tunes ( https://rbttuning.atlassian.net/wiki...ages/12058758) and YouTube (@ kern417 and @ just1moremod). So just took all the knowledge from that and made my own combo/setting that best works out for my personal day to day driving. Not everyone drives the same. It’s really all personal preference.

Yes for gears 2 to 8 but it’s not maxed out on gear 1 (even on stage 3 standard settings). Gear 1 is preset to 800nm by default for stage 3.

I have used xHP on several of my BMWs, E93, F10, E63, and now on my M850ix GC. I have been really impressed with all the tunes I have ran. I can't give much evaluation on the M850i because I put the tune on within 3 days of buying it. I trust the brand enough that I blindly put it on the G16 without reading any reviews and no disappointment here.

Correction. Gears 2 to 8 is 1000nm, not 1200nm. But gear 1 is 800nm. Across all 3 stages regardless of versions. Had to dig up an old email.

I just got the maps and license along with the wireless xHP adaptor.

I am however unable to get a WiFi signal from the xHP blue adaptor. Plug it in, get the car in ignition on mode and nothing after 5 minutes several attempts.
I have been using my digital key (phone) and not sure if that has something to do with it. Wil.try with a physical key next and see.

As far as compatibility goes, you’ll need to check if your VIN is supported as it’s not just blanket covered by chassis. Both my 2020 M8 coupe and my buddies 2023 M8 GC were compatible, successfully unlocked and flashed. The VIN digits you use to check against the compatibility list come from the 4 characters after WBS (WBA for non M) characters 4-7.

I initially checked with RBT as I had the same concern regarding the “vehicle picker” not showing F-series option for our M8s. They confirmed that we should be using the “G-series/Supra (8-speed)” option when purchasing and I can confirm that this option does work correctly for the F92 and F93.

As far as I understand everything, and while I am using an iPhone with the xHP app to perform this process, please be aware that it may be different for other configurations such as android or a computer but I only have experience using this with an iPhone.

You MUST use a DCAN WiFi adapter to perform the initial unlock. While subsequent flashes can be applied using this same adapter, for a MUCH MUCH MUCH faster method you can use an ENET cable with an Ethernet to lightning adapter. I purchased the xHP branded adapter to perform the initial unlock which took roughly 7 minutes to apply via the WiFi adapter, subsequent flashes/changes between stages takes about 30 seconds with ENET.

The changes are noticable, and what I would personally consider an improvement in every one of the stages. I have not experimented with any of the custom options but have tried the standard OTS maps which all seem to offer improvements relative to their stage.

Any questions whatsoever, please feel free to ask. Should hopefully have more feedback on the custom options after a few weeks of testing them out as it gets nicer out. More to come!
Glad this worked for you, from what I'm reading you used an iPhone, what version phone was it? I've heard the newer iPhones don't work that well, that true?
I am using a Google pixel and ran into a weird issue. It's not picking up the WiFi signal being broadcasted by the xHP wireless adapter. Nothing shows up on there. Wondering if you can share what the WiFi signal is called when the xHP blue adapter is connected to the car?

Thanks for your help, will pm as well.
