2002 BMW 325i - Sell to junkyard or part out?

Just curious what you all think about this. I have a 2002 325i with 175k miles. Engine runs great, tranny great, has vibration from underneath at higher speeds, likely a motor mount or exhaust leak. Car tracks perfectly straight, no vibration in steering wheel. Probably 20k miles left on tires, has left front cosmetic damage from sliding into a snowdrift. Interior in good condition, especially for miles. I have an 07 335i and am getting a 7 series soon so don't need the car and I don't mind it sitting around for awhile. I've been driving it daily for work. Should I sell it to a junkyard or part it out? If there's not a big difference I'll sell to junkyard, but if it's worth it I dont mind parting it out, especially with so many good parts on the car. Thoughts?

One more thing, the reason I just don't sell it is because of the high miles and it needs some work like a brake job, small oil leak, etc. I don't want a prospective buyer getting stuck with a large repair bill on a car with so many miles.

Give it to a charity that accepts used cars. As an example:

Put it up on CL and be honest and upfront on its condition. Settle for $7-800, which is more than a JY will give you.

Too much of a headache to part out not enough return. Agree with others, have it picked up and use that bad boy as a tax deduction, or sell it to someone on craigslist for dirt cheap "as is" and disclose whatever you know. whoever is willing to buy it for dirt cheap, well, it's on them to deal with.

Great project car for a high school kid who is a budding wrench-turning enthusiast who grew up desiring an E46 BMW.

Or give it to a firehouse so they can practice putting out a car fire...

Kidding.

There's nothing desirable or valuable enough in that car to endure the headache of parting out.

Donate it for the write-off. Or if you need cash, throw it on CL and let someone haul it off.
