She's finally here

After years of M ownership I made the jump to the dark side (or "flacht side", for those that get the pun).

Waited nearly a full 12 months from start to finish but in the end totally worth it. Took months of tracking down an MSRP allocation, then a 7 month build period, then a few extra weeks waiting for cross-country transport.

Finally took delivery this week at PEC LA (A+ experience, great time on the track and working with amazing folks) and drove her up from LA to SF via CA33 and CA25 which were some of the best roads I've ever driven. Then did Skyline yesterday with some buddies (last pic). Great week of driving!

I won't bore everyone with a long post. Here are some pics.

I'm hoping to get into an X3 m40i soon as a daily which should keep me around these parts.

hurts? Lol it's a GT3, PCCBs would only add a couple K to resale value, it's still going to hold value very well.

No offense dude but I’ve sold hundreds of these cars, GT3, GT3 RS, GT2 RS and the main option boxes you always want to get w a P GT CAR are PCCBs, Front axle lift, and bucket seats. You can like it or not but those are the facts. When going to buy one of these cars on the secondary market, the majority of buyers want to get a car with these options.

But even so, I'd disagree. The $10k you spend on PCCBs isn't necessarily going to net you much return.

Besides, most people that track these want the steels. I'm not worried about it either way but thanks for your concern!

It’s not so much about the net return as it is the lack of appeal the car has to the secondary market buyer. They will often times skip the steelie car and pay up a little bit to buy the car with PCCBs. Again, congrats and it’s a nice car. I see that you did get buckets. Is it a manual or PDK?
