M8 looks fantastic. I actually like the duckbill trunk lid, it reminds me of the E85. Soooo glad BMW appears to be doing away with the 'headlights connected to the grille' look. 8 series looks like a big win, nice work BMW.

Do you ever sleep?

Great renders. I thought I was the only insomniac that does his best creative thinking in the (very) early morning hours, but I think you have me beat. Just wondering, is it because that is when you are inspired to do such things, or do you have kids in the household and that is the only quiet time that you have to yourself?

Oops I just noticed where you are located. For some reason, I thought I had previously seen you were on the west coast (of the U.S.).

Well, in that case, ga day mate! (sorry, that's all I know how to say in Australian)

This is the freshest new design they've put out in ages (I also like the Z4 but we'll see where production concept takes that).

I feel like the current M5 and M3 lineup have all been continuous "evolutions" of the same aging design principles, not that they have been bad in any way. . . This is a whole new ballgame and a fresh start. I really don't think its all that overstyled, I like it a lot.

I think my only gripes are the connected kidney grills looking a bit odd (maybe it will take some getting used to, but people said that about Teslas too and I still don't find the grills attractive), and that the wheels are too busy. The car has enough going on that they should have gone a bit more conservative with the wheels and not so boy racer.

Otherwise, this is a heck of a concept.

Render based on the studio shot of the M8 GC, it shows how low the car really is. I've added the production bits, including the M5 Wheels for a more realistic look... I've changed the original green to blue as well...

Not exactly the same angle, but this shows how lower and agressive looking the M8 GC is compared to the M5...
