When we here in Texas got hit with that wild freeze this year I went everywhere I needed to go in my Canam Maverick Max X3 XMR and thought to myself why in the hell would people want to deal with this shit every year. Power to those that do lol.

Ordered mine Jan 26/21. Picked it up April 27th 2021.
Pretty fast really. Dealer was surprised by how fast it came as well. I did not order individual paint. Standard Black Sapphire. No winters for me in this car. I've got a AWD Saab for that duty. Winter in Ontario ca be nasty some days...not so far though. Might be a green xmas here |

ordered mine july 26 with build date of late aug i think.
car delivered nov 16. so just shy of 3mos from start of production to actual delivery for me. but as others have said, the allocation is key. if your dealer can't give you a date it's a crap shoot. |

also, car was built pretty fast, like 2 weeks. the transport time is agonizing. 14 days at sea, then the car sat at newark port for like 5 weeks waiting for a radio chip or something sim.

Yeah, I have no faith that my dealer can get an allocation in any reasonable time so I am on lists at four large dealers through the country. Hopefully one of them will come through with an early allocation. Same with my current M4 as for build time and the agonizing delivery time. It actually got built fairly quickly despite the individual color but time at sea was painful and then I just had to wait for the PCD date.

Crevier in California has several *available* M8's in the showroom. Be ready to pay the markup, though. PM me if you want the contact.

Because the 23's are going to have a slight LCI'ish update, because if I ordered one now (or a few months ago when I started looking) I'd get it right in the middle (or beginning) of Ohio winter just to park in my garage while I drive my Jeep, because of for that reason I can wait just a few months longer (I hope only a few months) and get the next model year, and because it gives me a little more time to work some extra shifts to make some money to put towards a downpayment.

I just briefly looked at the idea of winter wheels and tires and it seems like it's probably at least a $7k investment for a decent looking tire/wheel combo? I could probably better put that 7k to use elsewhere.

Swap to winter tires. I have a GT3RS Weissach with Cup 2's that I drive any day in the winter if the roads are clear AND temps are 40 degrees or higher. I just can't imagine storing a car for months unless I have to.
