I "ordered" a green B8 on 9/30. My dealer is still waiting for a production week. Starting to get concerned that the order will get canceled..??

I placed order around 9/6 and production to start week 46. Don't think you should be worried.

You ordered a 2022 Alpina B8 in September and it goes into production this year??? That sounds inconsistent with this thread..

I'm thinking his dealer is blowing smoke.

From what I am aware of as of 2 weeks ago only 5 weren't sold.

That is a very short wait time. Perhaps the dealer already had an allocation for their own build that they gave to you? That would have been enough time to still customize the build before production. If this is true, that is very lucky compared to most of us.

No just a individual M8 but they are on the same production line, so thought that might put you a bit at ease of not getting it canceled because you are waiting for production to start.

Yes you are correct, my dealer see's about 4 8series allocations a month so they gave me one for November for my individual build. Though I still thought it would be pushed back a bit longer, at this time its on track still.

I think you're blowing smoke about even seeing, let alone driving a B8 in real life. You hop on here and make these ludicrous claims about how poorly it drives, it's slow and quiet, compare it to an 840 (wtf!?) but actual auto journalists can't stop raving about how good it is.

So what's your deal man? Why doesn't the dealership you mentioned (Houston North) have the car listed on its website? Are you attention starved? Bored? Which is it?

By the way, here's another video of some guys who drive Lambo's and shit talking about how fast and compliant the car is.

Skip to 9:30 if you're pressed for time and you'll see that this Mopar guy is either a troll, liar, or an idiot. I'm guessing all three.

Yawn....... even the sales rep who tried to pitch It to me prior to going and seeing it in person said it's more "subtle" aka Boring. And yes it's very quiet. My X7 M50i has more exhaust note than the B8 in sport mode.

The most interesting thing was when I went to look for the red M1/M2 buttons.... a wave of disappointment consumed me.

To make you happy..... they were selling it with $10k ADM.

For your pleasure here's the pics the rep sent me prior to me experiencing it in person.

You're welcome.

And FYI.... Lambos are poser look at me cars that are frankly SLOW unless built. Especially UGR built ones.

I have 2 full weight built trucks (real trucks,, not Yankee versions of trucks which are really SUVs) that will out run an Hurrican STO and most other production "supercars". Handling wise.... I'm a straight line guy but the feeling of the M8 GC pulling a curve planted at 137mph is lovely.

Mine just zipped through production over the last week. Now in status "ready for transport." Do you have your vehicle yet? And how long after 'ready for transport' until you got it?

Sat in the "At the port" status for a few weeks but is now in transit. Looks like Nov 17 to the port at Baltimore

Alright, so that is about 4-5 weeks for transport for Bvap. My local dealer didn't even want to give me an estimate with how shipping has been going lately!

It's here!!

It's arrived! After jumping through hoops and crossing my fingers, my dealer found me (almost) exactly what I was looking for! I originally "ordered" a Green B8 Alpina hoping for Spring delivery. But it never got picked up on the system.

So he was able to find one out of thin air 3 weeks ago and it arrived at the dealer today! Very excited. Will send Monroney when I see it later, but here is a shot to prove that it's actually the real deal!

Whoever built it looks to have specd it like a first edition M8 GC which I can respect.

Looks great! Mine is was supposed to hit the port yesterday, so hopefully I'll have it in the next two weeks.

Congrats

The B8 is at the Port of Baltimore but is waiting on the stereo chip for the B&W system. No update on when it will be available.

Bummer.

Mine hasn’t moved in weeks. Still “ready for transport.”

I just went to their site and wanted to see what kind of inventory that location gets...... wow!

7 Alpina B8s, nearly a dozen M8s GC and Coupe, and a handful of B7s.

Truly incredible sales they must have to get that kind of allocations for dealer specs.
