LOL as was going to ask why that was not an option vs the tape. Having zero track experience thought maybe it is not good enough for protection. Count me in on the GoFundMe campaign!

I didn’t do ppf on my m4 and took it to Laguna also. Mine looked even worse as I used two rolls of blue painter type. But a lot of guys use blue tape on the track so didn’t look out of place. Just really ugly pictures.

Laguna is fun but their noise restrictions days are no fun. I was way over on DB and my buddies stock Porsche spyder was going over also. I got too many warnings and got booted

Yup.

One thing I didn't mention is that I actually blew the sound one time! Scored 92.3 dB and that session was over for me. So the exhaust is actually louder than the one I had on my M4 Comp, although it feels quieter in the cabin (even though the sound amplification through the stereo was off on my M4).

That's why this Saturday I'll be driving T-Hill East with 103 Db limit.

My m4 was modified and loud so even 103 wouldn’t cut. I couldn’t figure out where the dB mic was at despite being told 10 times. I was told there is a gps system that automatically shuts your valves when you near the mics. I need that

Certain track day’s don’t have noise restrictions. I just went to Laguna the week after a big Ferrari race. Sure those neighbors had enough

Who buys a house sitting on top of a race track. What did you expect

You have to love technology (and why that's my day job) as the sky's the limit with some ingenuity and time invested.

LOL'd on the latter part as it's been mind boggling to me why people would buy a house in the flight path of an airport for the same reason.

For Laguna I worked it around by setting almost identical M1 and M2 presets with the only difference being the exhaust mode. When I was approaching the sound booth I would turn the exhaust down, and turn it back on once I am past it.

Great use of the M1/M2 controls! Honestly wish I had them on my M850i as the individual sport setting is nice but toggling through it to get to Sport Plus when I want it via the console button is a bit of a PIA.

Maybe the M Performance Sports Brake Pads might be useful for you:
