That would be great. Unfortunately it’s only 1% difference between 7500 and 10K...

Was going by memory and knew it was greater and thought I saw 58% for 7K on a 2019 M850i lease but obviously my memory failed me.

Sheesh, I can't get anywhere near that for similarly-priced M8 Comp GCs. If I sell my children, I won't need the GC and they'll easily cover the first month's payment (10K miles, of course).

I'm looking for some feedback on the following offer:

2020 M8 Comp Coupe - MSRP 154,500
7,500 miles a year
$1815 a month, $5,000 drive-off and they're picking up 6 payments on my M4 CP Convertible (13,000 miles/30 months).

EDIT: this offer also includes extended maintenance with brakes.

EDIT 2: it looks like they're not really picking up the payments, they're rolling them into the deal, which I'm not willing to do. I think other wise it would be a pretty good deal, but even BMWFS told me to negotiate that or hold off.

Any feedback on topic would be appreciated : )

Can't give feedback without knowing the specifics. i.e. adjusted cap cost, residual etc. also do urself a favor and make sure you know the separate elements of the M8 deal and and your trade in and how it adds up to the new monthly payment. My question is why would u want to keep paying for a car you have already returned? BMWFS should be able to allow early lease returns within 120 days of lease end. So, besides the lease roll in it does sound like a good deal to me.

Why would you need brake or extended maintenance on 7500 miles per year?

I fully agree on that last part, especially after them showing me what the numbers would be without the roll-in - $1,599 a month with 5k down.

I don't have the cap cost and residual. I told them I would not take the deal with the M4 causing any friction, and their quote just shows a discount of $26,750, fees etc. I'm not going to contact them again unless they're willing to do me a bit better on my M4 - either way, thank you for your input!

Ah, thanks for pointing that out to me. Frankly, probably only because I thought I would do more miles when getting the M4 in 2017. I leased that with 10k miles a year, but now after 30 months I only have 13,000 miles on it, so I guess I wouldn't have needed it there either.

So with 7,500 miles a year (which realistically will be 5,000 for me) there is no need for this, because these parts will never become due for maintenance, if I understand correctly?

Thank you, should BMW find it in their hearts to take my lease back early I have them calculate it without extended lease.

In general, I am 6 payments out on my lease end, car is pristine and has 13k out of 30k miles allowed, am I asking too much of BMW, to take it back without causing me friction on the new car?

If you don't have the adjusted cap cos and other lease details on an itemized quote then just assume you are most likely taking a deal with some hidden fees.

Attached is just an example of what my own math looked like (not actual values) when I went to negotiate the lease deal on my custom ordered M550i 3 years ago. As u can see, I had to know the adjusted cap cost, money factor, residual value etc to make sure I was getting a fair deal. Ask yourself how do you know u are getting a fair deal. They can mark up one of those variables without u knowing and even if they say u r getting a 20k discount you could be paying more.

I would ask them for a break down on how they got to the $1500 price for the M8. Or maybe this is just me and the way I operate 🤷🏽

Don't get me wrong...not saying $1599 is not a good deal for an M8...it is actually...just saying u need to know details of the deal prior to accepting.

Thank you for your feedback, I'm attaching the calculation that I had gotten from them. The monthly rate should include CA tax and ext. warranty (which I will take off, if that deal happens).

I'm not sure which costs they could be hiding, but I will ask them to provide the other details.

I would really like to take it at this point, but I am also really not willing to take any hits on my M4. I have 5 lease payments left, June 13 I should be in the pull ahead zone with 3 payments left. I think a bit of customer appreciation after 9 years would be great on BMW's end, until I saw a friend's M8 I was already headed towards Porsche, looking at the Carrera S and waiting for the new 911 GTS to be released this summer, if they are so unwilling to meet me on a pristine lease return a bit earlier I might just still end up there ...

Your adjusted cap cost is the $129,332 on the quote. Doing quick math with that cap cost, current money factor and residual value rates for 7500miles/30 months and CA sales tax rates I'm getting around $1,800 in monthly payments so the $1599 offer is a really good deal.

Keep in mind that the down payment of $5000 if paid over 30 months is an extra $166 in monthly payments. So basically the offer is $1,765/month. Still a fair deal...that is excluding the M4. Doesn't look like they are rolling the M4 into the deal. It does seem like they r eating the cost of the M4. You should verify with them. Either way I think it's a good deal.

Hope this helps with your decision.

The discount could be better IMO. Over $30k off should not represent any issues with loyalty.
I would also confirm base MF of .00118 (looks close from a distance but easy to confirm)...

The new May rates/MF should come out shortly too so that's worth the wait.

Thank you, I would take this deal, but that's only the quote without the M4, they gave me another one with the M4 rolled in (above 1815 a month/5k down).

That's basically the issue I have here, I can't get this deal, unless BMW were willing to take the M4 back without causing me friction.

Thank you, I thought the rates were already released?

I will confirm the MF, when (or maybe if) BMW shows some willingness on my current lease, which I find surprising. The M8 can't be easy to move even without a global pandemic...
