Goodwood is the track I would probably go to. Again, you’re absolutely right, it’s a well controlled environment. Oddly, I think I’m more comfortable about just getting in with that one as I can choose not to hammer it if I don’t want to.

Really enjoyed watching those videos, thanks for sharing How do you get on with tyres and brakes on a day like that? Do you just write off both and accept that it’s going to cost to have fun?
Yes, the cup 2 fronts last half day if I run the shorter track fast. That’s 1:19 not the 1:33 I was doing with the girlfriend in the car. Plus, they wouldn’t let me take her in the car in the expert group, which I wouldn’t want anyways. On the longer track, I’m doing 1:53s now a second behind the fastest guys in street cars and fronts are one day and rears are two days.

To preserve tires, it’s a 1:30 on the short track and a 2:05 on the longer track. If you look for track day ramblings thread, there’s some pics of shredded tires.

No issues with the CCBs and the reason I ordered this car.

Sadly, as much as I’d love to do a few track days, I’m not paying that fee plus the track fee plus the fuel and tyres AND still liable for £6K. It means that any scuffs wouldn’t be claimable. Gutted 😞
That’s peanuts

While in Maranello (check me out) I went to hire a Ferrari F430 for an hour….excess was €20,000 plus €2000 per wheel plus €1000 per tyre. And that was about ten years ago.

I decided to be a passenger with one of their drivers driving…scared the crap out of me

Welcome to the forum.

Nice finish on the ride. I hope to do the same process to mine white M850 when the weather gets better.

I don’t know whether they’re identical (although I would guess they are). It’s a definite yes that the M8 can be remapped, it’s even advertised on their website. Have a look at Avon Tuning.

What’s interesting is that the M8 can be improved to the same limits as the M850 (one of the things that made me go for the 850 as it’s a lot more comfortable and quieter).

Hi guys, Anyone else notice passenger side of front hood not latching?
I took delivery just two weeks ago and notice the hood bouncing as soon as I got onto the highway.

Takes a bit of a drop to make sure it closes correctly.

Yes, mine takes a proper “drop”, as with all the others I’ve seen. Gentle push doesn’t cut it, they have to be done very deliberately. It’s quite normal.
