I had mine lowered all the way around and raised it up in the rear because it was way too bouncy and way too low in the rear. I almost feel like it might still be a tad too low in the rear and if I had to do all over again I wouldn't have lowered it at all as it's already pretty low to begin with.

Thanks for your input, I'm on fence of lowering too... That and exhaust options. lol I'm letting others get some miles on before spending the money.

I understand, honestly it already sits pretty low and lowering it doesn't lower it that much and makes it way too bouncy in my opinion. I am older though so maybe that's some of it.

For me the only reason to lower is that cool look. Otherwise I'm quite happy with the stock setup. I'm not planning on lowering in the end though. I like having some clearance under the car. It's already very low.

im maxed in the rear and have maybe 10mm left in the front--- KW did a great job with their spring rates and the competition dampers. There is not that unwanted excessive multi compression/bump down and up. I dont find the car to be bouncy but its not an R8 or Porsche but then again, the expectations are a real gain in form and hopefully a negligible loss in function which I feel I personally have achieved.

I actually wish the car would go lower. Ive used KW over 15 times whether it be their label or Novitec with my Ferraris and Lambo. They make amazing springs and quite often are the private label builders for the M Performance HAS setup (for sure on the F90 M5 and now the G8X). But Im also an owner who always lowers my car (not to the slammed look) but Ive never enjoyed OEM gaps.

Wrap it, Vic!

As to lowering these cars: I have strong opinions on this but Vic's answer represents ~99% of my own so +1.

What size spacers did you use there? The tires look perfectly flush!
Also did you have lowest setting for the springs for both front and rear?

What brand did you go with? Love your fitment, going to do 18F and 12R and follow you!

How can you tell if you are maxed on the drop on the KW HAS?

Also do you have any issues rubbing or scraping at maxed drop?

I went with H&R

no rubbing or scraping

See this pic (borrowed from Tethys )

the black lower ring is the bottom of the setting and the purple spinner is maxed to the bottom- thats how you can tell if there is room. The gap between the black and purple (if any)

Thanks for that info. So looking at that picture, looks like there’s still a little room left but no threading so would that be consider max out then?
