Tire Exchange for 2022 M8 Comp. GC

Hello,
We just took delivery this past Sunday of our new M8, and I have been extremely stoked except for one thing. My 2021 M550i came with Pirelli P Zero runflats, which I do not enjoy at all. I had seen most of the M cars coming out of the factory come stock with Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires, but our M8 came with the Pirellis. I asked the dealer and was told that it is at the discretion of the factory and out of the control of the dealership. Does anyone have any suggestions for methods I should take to switch out the tires while they are still fresh?

Thanks!

This might not apply to these but around here a lot of people are able to sell their new truck tires as they swap out for say KO2's for really fair prices. So you might wanna call a local tire shop see if they are willing to do so if you buy a new set of the Michelin.

I know this is a risk with mine coming in here in a few weeks, but for how little these tires last I think I will just run out the stocks and when buying replacements order the Michelin and maybe even new wheels make it a set order.

My M8 came with Pirelli tires but I dont believe they are run flats on the M8.

I just purchased a set of Michelin PS4S and put the Pirelli set in the warehouse.

No run flats on any of the m cars from my experience.

Also good job grabbing those Michelins. Those p zeros lasted less than 5k miles on my m8

Yup, trying to find a way to swap em out, may head over to discount tires or smtg to see if we could figure out a swap deal. The pirellis only have been lasting me a couple of months on my M550i(tuned to around 650 hp though). Was really hoping it was delivered with them from the factory on the M8

You could always just burn through them. Make sure you grab the BMW star Michelins if you haven't already. They have a thread pattern specific to M cars.

Keep the Pirelli's - they're a decent tyre and won't be run-flats on an M car. Get some miles out of them and then buy yourself a new set when they're a bit worn.
