Id say its purely a personal choice here and since I had the GC I was not going to get another one. No sir... you are not granted immunity. Your front was too close and I got scared seeing the pic.

The rear quarter of the 8 coupe is just sooooo sexy. Great, now historical pics of a pre-covid ED. Congrats.

Yep, I've done 7 Euro deliveries and unfortunately that was the last one! So disappointed with BMW's decision to stop them. Just did a Spartanburg delivery and it did not compare.

That's just awesome. I've done six EDs and one PCD. Was hoping to get in one grand finale ED with a new 911, but $25k ADMs and an 18-month waitlist pushed me to the M8. Hopefully things will be different with BMW's ED program or Porsche's pricing when it comes time to swap out from the 8.

Well this was a PITA
Not sure if this is a typical parking lot post but…when you get jacked by a nail, you soon find yourself parked, first on a flatbed and then at the dealership.

If you're not on RFTs it's best to keep a 12v air pump in the trunk for situations like this. At least that way you can limp to the dealer/tire shop.
I can't imagine it was an enjoyable experience waiting for the flatbed.

Irony and to the spirit of the thread was down in Tucson over the weekend as my wife had a teachers conference at the UofA. Gave me a chance to drive down to my hometown Nogales (border town with Mexico 60 miles south of Tucson).
So took these pics. First one is in front of the house my parents first rented and we lived there until I finished first grade. Second was in the driveway of the house my parents built and lived in until they sold it back in 2011 to move to the Green Valley area. Parked the beast in the driveway like we still owned the joint. 😜. Last pic was in the parking lot of the Hilltop Art Gallery that was having it's 50th anniversary and my Mom took all of us kids to the opening in 1972. It was rather cathartic as in that 2nd house from the age of 7 on started the dream of owning a sports car that lived with me for the next 40ish years until I finally bought the M850i. |

Too funny, but otherwise feel for you mate. This has happened to my wife in each new BMW I’ve owned. She has therefore not driven the M8 because of this jinx. 3 times 3 different cars. Not kidding
