Just driven from The Netherlands to UK in my 840d. Easy, 3.5 hrs to Eurotunnel, horrendous rain so kept my distance due to tyres limited wet weather grip. Wide train to accommodate the car! UK leg easy and all done with maximum driving aids. Total sat in the seat 8.5 hrs with only a 5 min pee break. Back and legs great, averaged 42 UK mpg. Zero use of performance due to rain, but predominately simply need to be compliant with the law. If I had the M8 I'd be pulling my teeth out with the inability to use the performance even in my diesel it did not break breath. Do you go to the track? I've been in Germany many times with mine, but you need a good day to do 150mph for a few minutes. Car was rammed with stuff and capable of carrying lots.

I've done some epic drives in my car, these big BMW coupes are just epic at getting through the miles. Here a long drive is always fun as we have plenty of corners and not too many motorways
