I had never heard of Iconic Sound but just dug into it. From what I've read it is targeted primarily at the electric line and for all intensive purposes is the same fabricated engine noise that is standard on the 8-series unless you code it out.

The irony being is I got the alert on the way to my dealer yesterday to get the "low coolant" alert resolved plus my 12 month service along with an iDrive upgrade to 07/2020.60. The odd thing is when the map update was done the message indicated 2019-2 that made no sense whatsoever. I was in the car this evening to re-configure a few settings that got reset with the iDrive update and checked out the navigation map info.

It does state "North America Live 2019-2" as per the message I saw on the screen during the update. However, apparently the actual update put the version at 2020-3. Why I had not received the March update until now is mind boggling but then again it's not like I'm driving the car daily whatsoever.

Just had my 2019 840d Convertible in for its first service and OS has been updated from 07/2020.54 to: 03/2021.25

No sure what the fixes/release notes are for this version!
