You should expect $10k in Flagship Cash they could pass on to you, $3k in loyalty (assuming you have had another BMW registered to your household within the last 6 months or whatever), then another ~12% or so as a dealership contribution at base MF since you're talking about a car that's likely been sitting around for over a year.

At 1400 + tax, they're likely putting in the FS cash + loyalty, and giving an 8% discount and/or marking up the MF. It's not a bad deal... but they should be able to do better.

What is flagship cash? I'm looking right now at a M8 or Competition. MSRP on base is 140k and they're offering 17k and 3k rebate. Looking to lease. is that a good deal? the competition is 163k but haven't really looked at numbers. Will sell my i8. Thanks

It's an incentive BMW gives to the dealers to move flagship models. They come around fairly often (if was available for the 7 series a few years back as well), especially when they're sitting for a while. They don't necessarily have to push those savings onto you, but it's certainly in their interest to get rid of these cars right now, soon enough and you won't be able to lease 2020 models. I believe the FS cash was attached to all M8 coupes and convertibles before a certain build date (basically all 2020 models). $10k for most, but there are some, maybe the launch cars, that had a $12k incentive.

As for your deal... it's not very good at all. You're only looking at a 5% discount after the incentives are applied. 10-12% is probably about normal, some people were able to get some unicorn deals around 16% + FS + loyalty.

In for information as well. In the market for a M8 GC, doesn't matter if its a competition or not. The first broker I reached out to said that there were NONE available in the country. 5 minute search on autotrader showed 68 available? Waiting to hear back from a few of those dealers, but glad to say I am finally able to shop for my future ride!

Yes, why? I was offered a 2022 today, but it was not a favorable lease at all. They recommended waiting until April for better incentives.

It was interesting though, the GC Comp was priced at $134k, which means the Comp package was included at that price. I thought I had heard they were dropping the price, but didn't realize it would be about 10%.

I'm not sure but my friend who just bought a M8 Convertible was told by multiple dealers they couldn't lease 2020 after March 31. Perhaps it has to do when the punched those particular car.

Edit: I am referring to the coupe and convertibles only.

2022 the coupe and convertible are being offered again

Well of course they told you your friend that.....they obviously want his purchase on their sales numbers for this month.

EDIT: On 2020 models.....oops. Could be possible.....

In general all BMW year end models tank on March 31st ( unless there are plenty of units around the country still on the ground then they extend it to wipe it out with extra monies )

2020 m8 lease programs will end March 31st . Great time to grab one for 25% off MSRP all in easy if not more .

All 2020 models lease programs end March 31st. Great time to buy executive demos 2020 models 25-30% off MSRP .

Got it. Thanks.

I hasn't realized the statement was constrained to 2020 MY only.

I don't see how to build it that cheap so presumably this wasn't MSRP, rather a dealer's discounted price?

Here is the build sheet, unless I'm missing something, its priced rather well? They weren't budging on price after the fact though.

If that's correct, the Comp package has dropped from $13,000 USD to naught. The driver's assistant package dropped from $1,100 to $100... also a surprising drop. The only 2 things wrong with this build are it lacks the Bowers and Wilkens and the CF exterior trim.

You mentioned you were planning to lease but the numbers weren't favorable, what were they?

Anyone know when the '22s come out--we're only just about in April FFS?

PS: I decoded its VIN and it matches the build sheet so there appear to be no errors here.

Absolutely agree, granted, I have heard the CF package can essentially be had for half the price given by dealers. But, I do wish to have the B&W system!!

Sorry, didn't see it... just looked; still don't see it but using iPhone so maybe that.

Was this $0 down and including some locally applicable usage tax?

Yup $0 down. The link does show some options with money down, but it's not a considerable difference. I've noticed that most of the cars I've talked through today have been anywhere from $1.8-2k/month. The MF going up seems to have hurt those incentives a bit.
