Short but agonising wait is over

Ordered factory build 31 Jan, picked up 31 Mar. A short 2-months that felt a lot longer! Many sleepless nights waiting for this car to arrive. Always wanted to own an 8 and finally have my hands on the 840i in San Remo green with Cognac interior.

Pretty horrible day weather wise to pick her up - pouring with rain - will take some more pictures in the sunshine as and when that finally arrives in the UK. So first drive was very short.

Fully spec'd: with visibility pack, technology plus pack, comfort plus pack, M-sport pro pack and the crafted clarity control. Never thought I would go for the latter, but having seen it in a test drive car actually liked it.

Looks great! Congrats on the car and the record short but I'm sure still painful wait! My order to delivery was 262 days.

Bloody hell, that’s a stunner

There’s something very classy about a dark green colour, not seen that much these days as a rule and hence stands out

Thanks! Appreciate that. TBH when I placed the order I was conflicted between this and Tanzanite Blue which I adore but my other half convinced me to go with San Remo. When I saw the car the first time I thought wow! Not many green cars around let alone 8ers. Getting all sorts of looks at the car - can be a bit unnerving.

Yes mate - just outside of Newcastle. Same spec on my car too, although I went Tanzanite blue with ivory leather - love a contrast!
