You paid $4875 for the tire/wheel warranty? Did you calculate how much damage you'd have to do and spend out of pocket money to fix and how likely it was that you'd do enough damage to get to $4900 worth of repairs? Those wheel warranties always seem crazy to me. In 35 years of driving I've had minimal tire/wheel issues, and certainly not enough sum total or especially with 1 car to get to that level of repair.

Yessir, I live in the NYC metro area notorious for pot holes and bad roads - one bad pothole during the winter and the rim is gone - my M5 I had before this I had all 4 tires plus a rim replaced all under warranty - I still was in the green $$$ wise by getting the insurance

Congrats! So... what are your impressions of the M8 compared to the M5?

Oh, and forum rules: You must post a picture of your new car!

Don't know where the mod has been for this. Try Edmunds they're pretty quick with the responses for rates/incentives.

What is the 78746 part of that refer to? That's the amount your paying on or the residual or?

Zip Code in the US. Irrelevant info. BMW MF and residual are nationwide in the US but some keep on adding that info.

Perhaps other brands have regional rates...

I was told by dealer yesterday that loyalty credit for 2022 M8 GC is $1500, not $3,000.

Anyone can confirm?

Correct. It's been $1500 for some time now. Wish it was $3000 though.

Sounds about right, seems like dealers are getting aggressive being at the end of the year.

I would love to find out more about the circumstances of your deal. Did you order it or was it on the lot? Care to share the dealership. I'm also in the DC area.

Looking at an M8C (Cabrio) build and was told 5-7 months from the time the allocation is picked up (w/ individual color). is that accurate? seems egregiously long...my understanding was the allocation was the actual wait, then only about 8-10 weeks (+3 extra for individual color) for build time...

Maybe these long lead times are specific to the M8?

Prices went up

Looks like the MSRP ticked up a couple thousand in the past week. Base M850 convertible is 116k. I think I saw someone mention somewhere the prices would be going up in June.

Is anyone getting decent lease deals on M850 or M8 convertibles? Still juggling buying pre-owned or leasing brand new.

I think the point was the price. $4875 is steep. I just picked up the same coverage for my wife's new X5 for $2800. She curb rashes the rims and the dealer charges $200 for repair so quick math on 10 curb rashes made it a no brainer and tires in for the win. 👍
