Vanity plate--a fun distraction from our current norm
As with most everyone, I've put everything on hold in my life--including selling my house, moving (obviously), vacation plans, mod'ing my car, poker nights, human interaction, car shows, dragstrip, birthday party (yesterday)... sigh, the list goes on. So I figured, fuck it, let's distract myself with something amusing: my vanity(custom) plate sprung to mind.
I have an M8 Comp Gran Coupe in Frozen Dark Silver so those attributes could factor in. She's also tuned and is rather fast which could also factor in. In the past, I've used:
I'm not sure that's the best I can do for the M8, though, so figured I'd share this bullshit but amusing little exercise with everyone. Ideas? I'll start --> FAT4anM Last edited by limeypride; 04-06-2020 at 10:46 PM.. |

Based on Ozzie8's list which I think is spot on I'm recommending #2 (now that you get it ) or #5. Personally I'd go with #5 as it clearly states your essence while #2 is solely focused on the car.

Thanks AlexFL!
Yes I know it was TWO DOT FIVE NINE and I initially wrote 2 DOT 59 But I went with TWO DOT 6 as I thought it was less obvious and required more cerebral work. You know when you look at something and read and then - I GET IT!! Clearly it worked with limeypride......swish nbn. RUBN IT, just shows how multi-talented r33_RGSport really is. That one might not pass the censors but it is sure to get limeypride plenty of attention! There is so much joy in all of these posts. |

DUM8LCK ?
... and I'm still brewing on FAT4anM <-- chortle-worthy. Keep 'em coming, folks--this is bringing me a few more (s)miles-per-hour than life is currently dealing (us all). And if I lived in Aus. (where I'd love to live--Blue Mountain area or Gold Coast anywhere), I'd have already bought VEGEM8 'cause it's another one that makes me chortle. |

Given what you have done with your car I think a better one would be:
CUSTOM8 With your predilection for speed you might want to consider the Northern Territory (NT) where they have open speed limits. Gold Coast is kind of like our Las Vegas on the beach. Blue Mountains is spectacular but a total nightmare for anyone with a M car - Nissan Leaf would be the equivalent experience in the Mountains. |

Thanks for the Aus. insights. I loved my time there—literally the top of my list for retirement life... and I've had the fortune to travel extensively (most everywhere except for Hawaii ). Riding a CBR600 around the Sydney area and then taking a trip to the Blue Mountains on a whim stand out in my mind as awesome, unplanned and necessary personality-shaping experiences. |

I spent a month in Australia (and dare I say it) New Zealand back in 2007. Seems like a lifetime ago but ultimately either could be a retirement destination for me. Loved the openness and accepting culture with everyone I met whom all literally went out of their way in order to help a fish out of water not only navigate but truly appreciate the experience.
That said this entire thread is making me somewhat rethink my vanity plate that I've been driving forward through several cars to get to the M850i. As posted I went through another hassle with the AZ DMV to get it assigned to the M850i as they've tried to take it away but ultimately grandfathered me given the potential ecstasy drug connotation. At least for now until I fully consider my options "V8 XTC" is going to continue to ride on the M850i. Frankly I think it sums it up well but there may be a better option. |
