Reach up from under the car, pinch the spring "dog ears" in and push out a bit it will come right out. Took me about 10min to take them out and put in new ones. Once you look up from underneath it all comes to light very quickly.

Geez I realize i'm gonna sound like my grandfather. Aren't the reflectors a good idea?
I've hummed and hah'd the last 3 years on replacing those as well. They for sure look better than the red reflector. I totally agree.
I haven't because they really are a good thing to have on the back end.
For instance if your parked somewhere with your lights off, they are all you have from getting rear ended. Obviously they aren't needed while driving.
So MANY times I have been behind somebody with only the DRL's on and the reflectors are pretty handy then. Otherwise the car is hard to see from behind.
So for now I've decide the trade off in safety isn't worth the trade off in ugly looks from the red one.
Damm!
I'm not normally this good...ha

I'll be deleting mine soon and adding acexxon parts highlighted above. Also, replacing the hood/trunk/wheel roundels with Black/Carbon parts.

So true eh? lol
I'm not normally the co-operating type with some stuff. My cars is one of those. I want it this way or nothing.
But so many times I've been driving somewhere and thought " hey those reflectors on that (random) vehicle really help.
You know some situation where the reflectors, to me anyway, were there at the right time.
I'm conscious of it cuz I'd like to ditch the red ones too. But my sensible side (OMG) seems to lead towards the usefulness of them. So I haven't changed them front or rear. I've just seen to many examples where they were spot on to be there.
They are especially useful when parked at the side of the road with lights off. My car is black to boot!
I guess it's a trade off.

My Mom would have liked my attitude...haha

Yes, I’ve had the reflector deletes in my cart for a few years now. A streetcop could right one up if they’re deleted if they wanted to so I’ve never done it.

I thought about it for the front fender deletes, but I only did the passenger side delete and left the drivers side reflector on place.

So now that we deflated the OPs bubble.

You can just reach up and grab them? Mine has covers under the car preventing anything from getting up there

Yes, but might be different on the M8 from the 850i.... If you look at the rear of the M8 it does surround the exhaust with the diffuser so that might be part of it.
