'23 M8 Competition Brake Dust

Good day,

First post here. I sold my X5M and replaced it with a '23 M8 Competition convertible. Love the car, hate the brake dust. I swapped the pads on my X5M but have heard this isn't possible on my new car. Is this correct? I can't find any differences between the years so I wanted to confirm.

Thanks in advance,

That is not correct.

runs a shop where many customize their rides, including a certain brake pad that virtually eliminates dust.

I will be buying these pads for my M8Cabriolet sometime this summer.

We also need to see a picture of your car!

Welcome and the M8Cab is the bomb!

I have the IS1500 pads on my 2023 and they are great...

The bite is equal to OEM if not better and the fade is the same as OEM. Ive been pushing the car hard on these pads with no adverse effects or issues. The dust reduction is incredible.

Here is my post and some tangible dust testing results

Wasn’t there a class action attempt for break dust/squeak?

I agree with Vic55 these IS pads are great. Have the IS2000 on three rides right now and the stopping power with no squeal and less dust are worth it. Not sure if BMW will ever “fix” the stock pads since I think they built them this way on purpose.
