1/4 mile Track
What’s up guys, wanted to see if anyone has hit the Track yet. I went for my 2nd time this past weekend. I found it very hard to Launch this car. Granted I have some work done and the more power the harder it is especially in stock tires. I wanted to see if anyone else has hit the Track and if so what was the outcome. My best time was 11.00 but I know for sure the cars gonna go faster, because I’ve done far better on the streets with a Draggy. But getting out the hole is the key. I had 4 tries and I was spinning hard off the line or lots of wheel hopping. Can’t wait to go back, I think my car can do a very low 10 sec pass all day.

A trick I've used in the past is have someone video tape one from each side of the track. Kinda shocked you are spinning on a track compared to a street though... I know some slip will keep the hop away but depending on the power you are putting down you might have to put different tires on for the track.

sadly no, but if you have the ceramic's you might not be able to go past the 20"..... Might be worth a quick search on the forum.

With CCB’s you can’t go any smaller than 20”. I plan on spec’ing out a small brake conversion setup on the rear that will allow me to run as small as a 17” wheel out back

Oh man I’m so curious how those fit. Looking at rears I originally thought I’d be able to put a 19” on there but it looks like almost zero clearance with the 20” 706M (winter setup) wheels i have in there now. Can you shoot me exact wheel model/spec you have out back?

The S63 engine can take alot of power tune but the transmission can't take the same amount . If you can achieve under 10 seconds , that will be impressive. Hit sticky tires may do the trick . Mind the transmission 🙏

I don't think he is anywhere near that worry, Friedrichshafen AG says the transmission in stock is good to 770ish ftlbs and that is probably playing it somewhat safe (that considers the ability to launch the M8). Though I think what would keep him back from under 10's will be the midrange, the M8 is terrible here mostly due to weight and gearing.

What’s the mod list on your M8? Your trap speed seems too low, though, if you’re looking for 9s in the future. |

Yup, I have to get used to the car on the Track. I have Catless downpipes, project Gamma intakes, M performance exhaust, and a custom E30 Tune. 749 whp on a mustang Dyno

I dnt have the CCB, do you know the smallest wheel and is there a rim or wheel size you recommend. I’m thinking 18X10 if it could fit.

Dr Thrillride says he was able to fit APEX 19’s on with CCB so my assumption is that with non ceramic you likely should be able to fit 18’s but I’m guessing someone else on here could confirm who’s actually tried an 18” square setup
