BMW Performance carbon fiber rear diffuser installation help.

I have the BMW performance carbon fiber rear diffuser. I am preparing to install it. I noticed there are 4 small rectangular clips that come with the part. Does anyone know where they are supposed to be installed on the diffuser?

I have the whole diffuser sitting in my garage since I just replaced it with the 3D designs one and I don't see these pieces anywhere on it. When I changed my Q8 bumper to the rsq8 one it came with these same pieces. They were supposed to be "clamps" to hold the pieces together, kind of like a cotter pin. I ended up not even using them cause they were a pain and never had any problems

Do you have any idea where they are installed? They don't even show up on the parts diagram for the rear bumper and diffuser assembly from BMW.

Those look like the clips the diffuser snaps into that sit in the bumper itself... On that small ledge if my memory serves me right...

They hold the sides of the inserts to the main bumper. They are press fit onto the two panels to hold them. Not a big concern if missed if you don't notice anything back there.

The clips are inserted into the bumper in the slots that reside on the far side of each exhaust outlet, two on each side. Correspondingly, on each side of the diffuser there are two small, pointed plastic tabs that are forced into the clips when the diffuser is installed.
