As someone born in Birmingham, it was very funny. As someone with an 840d since January I agree with him. I would say to the 8 engineering team it needed:
1. Seat belt extenders. 2. Separate heated seats/cooling seats buttons. 3. Door handles in the headlining, if you are not agile it may help. Better headrests - more depth to them.
Other than that at the 840d model price point the performance and MPG 41 UK mpg overall for me I'm very happy. At the 850i price point it is 911 (if you price on re-sale v discount, etc) and at this price I'd want the interior more special than the standard fare new BMW switchgear. The leather dash lifts it, but more. Mine has been fault free with 3000 miles. Yesterday I drove 9 hours with just one stop and 3 were not really driving on the M25 and M40. However, the autonomous driving makes it so easy. Jumped out after 9 hours no issues and walked straight down to the pub for 3 pints of Brit ale!

Thanks for posting! He's very funny and entertaining and mostly I agree with him. Wing Co your points are spot on.

I lived in the UK for many years and loved the diversity of accents. If you are trying to pick a Birmingham accent then try listening for the hanging 'G'. So most of us would say Birm-ing-um where a local would say Birm-ing-Gum. Anyway that was my technique.

I'm three weeks in with my car and I did not know the camera went top down when reversing very closely to objects! That's because nothing has got within 0.5m of my car so far. It is a terrific machine and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Most of those youtube videos are made by some tosser who loves to listen to himself yammer on about some stupid thing that I don't care about. I confess that I did skip through quite a bit (I do have to do a little work today) but he seemed rather smart and entertaining.

You UK and Euro and Aussie folks get an engine option that we in the USA do not get. We can have any engine we want as long as it's the V8. And that makes for a very expensive car, both to purchase but also to run and to absorb the depreciation, since big BMWs do not do well in resale, and the V8s are even worse.
