$13k for this?
LOLZ Getting really tired of the BMW Competition tax. Personally I just moved away from the brand for my Sports car addiction. In analyzing the value proposition, I chose another Porsche. To get the top tune/spec BMW you are paying out the nose over a base product that is not that much different. COMPETITION MODEL 0.1 seconds faster 0-60 than standard model 17 hp more than standard model 260 rpm wider torque band Stiffer engine mounts M Sport Exhaust Firmer suspension Increased front negative cambe Rear toe-link ball-joints instead of rubber bushings Unique 20" forged M light-alloy wheels with a gloss-milled 3D structure and bicolor design Additional Track Mode setting M seatbelts with highlight stitching in BMW Motorsport colors |

It looks good, has that 6GC style which I still prefer - the new technology I am sure is worth it alone. These wheels don't scream M - I miss the old M 343s, and of course the comp versions - which is the only reason I bought the comp to begin with....

Underwhelming to say the least. The outgoing M6GC was a stunner. This would be background noise at best when parked next to an RS7 or AMG GT63S, and FWIW I don't even like those cars.
The 2 door M8/8er variants look way better and that's probably why the Coupe and Convertible cost $3k and $12k respectively more than the grancoupe. Last edited by scoobysaurus; 10-08-2019 at 07:50 PM.. |

Sadly this has the adjustable brakes like the new M8 which offer no goldilocks setting, but rather too firm or too soft like most reviews are stating.

I saw the M850i Gran Coupe in the showroom when I picked up my car from service about 10 days ago. It is indeed a gorgeous package and the full blown Ms should be even better in person. That said, for $140-150k, hands down 992S stripper model with enough change leftover for a (relatively) pedestrian American SUV, heavily discounted of course.
