Leasing options on M850 and M8
Besides my wife's MB SUV's, I have not leased a car in a few years. I do remember having some leasing options in the past from different lending institutions. One of my Porsches was leased from a car broker going thru The Credit Union of Texas. I did save around $200 compared to Porsche financial. I even remember several years back, I leased a Corvette from one of the banks and was able to save$$$. The big difference was the higher residual value the credit union/ banks put on the car. Are these other institutions still available or has the Fed crackdown a few years back put an end to these options?

Agreed and to add to that I'm not sure any 3rd party (what we call it in my world) financial institution will beat BMWFS' MF nor residual on a 8-series as they have the incentive to make deals on what obviously is a shit show of depreciation. Don't get me wrong as I love my shit show but then again I leased it strategically for the first time ever in my automotive life.

If I find a low milage pre-owned, in three years (4 car model years) I have to believe the cars value would be at least 50k

M8s have started to see some discounts again and this is the non launch cars ( which had12-20k rebates ) my suggestion is go on leasehackr and get one . I have a m8 convertible with full ceramic coating side skirts led door projectors black powder coated wheels almost a 160k msrp car I will be off loading it soon to get a 911 turbo s cab as I start my hunt on a nicely specd pre owned to buy . Just in case if u have any interest.

Not my color choice too but it grew on me . As I'm one of those buyers who scavenges deals around the country on a budget .
But def look at leasehackr. I learned so much being on there straight on lease numbers and how leases actually work years ago and now a pro .

Is the large depreciation commensurate what with the residual value they are giving the cars? Or are they generous on the residual compared to the actual depreciation?
