I agree with you to a certain extent, but these SRT-8s with 425HP/420 lb.-ft. TQ are monster fast stock cars; they're very heavy though (> 4,000lbs.) and have the drag coefficient of a flying brick. And yes, they have Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep quality...ehh, not my cup of tea either.

The Charger SRT-8 was the most challenging and I beat him 2x from a dig to ~ 110mph; he got a better launch then me, but I caught up and we were even until I hit 3rd gear, when I pulled 1.5 CLs ahead.
And why are u comparing a modded 335 with a stock srt8?

Try to keep it stock vs stock please

B/c a stock SRT-8 has got 420BHP and 425 lb.-ft. TQ (although they weigh > 4,000lbs.) while a stock 335i has ~ 320BHP and ~ 340 lb.-ft. TQ (real #'s not BMW's "official" numbers of 300HP/300TQ). A stock 335i is fast, running 0-60mph in 4.8 sec. and the 1/4 mi. in 13.4-13.6 sec. @ 105mph, but stock SRT-8s are equally as fast and may sometimes be faster. A PROcede 335i has got similar HP and more TQ as an SRT-8 (but it weighs ~ 3,600 lbs), so that's a little more fair of a race.

FYI -- whether it's a Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, or even MB, here's Daimler Chrysler quality for you ...

http://www.autospies.com/news/OUCH-C...in-2006-18901/

This is what you get when you drive a MB.

Not exactly a hunk of American crap. I know soooo many guys on 6speedonline.com and the MB boards that own SRT8 Charokees as their daily drivers and swear by them. So if you think its some red neck in a Jeep there is a good chance its an enthusiast that has some even sicker car at home for weekend duty. I'll have to go find a couple of the threads and post them up in here.

Actually I would, the new Hyundai Genesis looks pretty damn nice and who knows, the new coupe may just turn out to be a gem. I know quite a few people happy by their cars and SUVs.

Im driving a Hyundai Santa Fe (one of my work cars) around untill my E90 comes in and I must admit its a great car for the $$$. I hate the looks of it, but besides that no gripes with it. Then new V8 powered RWD coupe might actually be something to watch out for.

Is it Jeeps fault for making a 400+hp SUV? Regardless of how much HP it has it's still bone stock. If u were to use ur logic for every car it's pointless.

Because at the end the Jeep is still cheaper. You're comparing a, modded, more expensive car to a stock cheaper car? Wheres the logic?

yep, Chrysler took a 6.1B repair hit...
and just in 2007 the BMW took $2B fuel pump repair hit...

They both suck to allow anything like that to happen...

You need PROcede! Otherwise, there's just no hope for you (with your logic), Spock..."live long and prosper."
