Is there any sound difference in downpipe size/brand in terms of sound?

Hey guys, was planning on going fully catless on the M8. Was wondering if there is a noticeable sound/spool difference in brand or size (3 inch vs 3.5). Any feedback would be appreciated!

Currently looking at MAD.

Mainly pipe thickness, weld quality, and fitment.
Sound will depends on pipe’s quality, but even that will be hard to notice the difference since it will be just loud.
My suggestion is to get a good quality product, if the weld broke (which I have seen), your car will catch on fire.

Not many go fully catless or least those that are here and actively contribute.

Fully catless would be very loud, smell horrible, and will throw a CEL unless you have a tune that deletes it on startup, which is pretty rare on its own.

Generally speaking, we try not to put junk on our cars. If you can’t find something used to help a forum member out, r33_RGSport Ben will sort you out.
