Might get more traction on the 7 forum... However, I never really cared for the Alpinas, mostly the wheels. They just look like old guys wheels to me and I like the more sportier looking things.

My previous ride was a 7 with the M-Sports package. It was a great car and I loved the look of it and the way it handle considering the size and weight. I agree about the Alpina comment, the wheels, chrome allover are a turn-off and makes the car lose it's sportiness...

Curious about your question, are you looking for a used M760 or B7? If this is the case, I would go with the M760...

I’ve always been a fan of the 7 series since I was a kid. But, I actually wanted the M5 but since they’re not making it this year. I bought the 24’ M8 GC Comp last month.

Just asking because I really don’t see B7 on the road like that

True. I’m new to this forum. Gotta watch where I post. Appreciate it.

Congrats on the M8! Personally having several 7 series and 5s in the past, I think the 8 series is the best looking BMW to date. I'm like a little kid every time I get inside my M850GC :-) I enjoy every minute driving that car...

lol, I totally understand that feeling. This is my first M car and I’m still thrilled.

I’ve actually driven an M760Li, and as fabulous as it was, it’s a confused car, that effectively no one wanted or needed. Don’t really get why you’d buy one - a chauffeur wouldn’t, as they’d do so many miles they’d have a 740d/i and no client would have a clue anyway, and if you wanted to go very fast in a large car, you’d buy an M5 or an M8.

Back to the original question, for me it would be Alpina over M any day of the week.

Wouldn't trade my M8 Comp for an Alpina as nice as they are. I like the sportier nature of the M8.
