08 Skyline GT-R?
I know its a bit of a strech for the euro purists but the New 2008 R36 Skyline GT-R is supposed to be: 3.8 V6 Twin Turbo 450HP, Under 3400 lbs, All new ATTESA-ETS AWD system (shits on any AWD system on the planet, up to 100% of power to Rear Wheels when needed) And suspension done by Lotus.
And is estimated to price in at $55KUS Release is Spring 2008, this car will be no joke. I know its a Nissan yadda, yadda, but it will absolutely obliterate the competition. There are lots videos of it testing on the Nurburgring with a 997 911 Turbo testing with it, Nissan has that 997 T as the target car to outperform, less than half the price. Anybody considering this? |

Yes...in fact I did a 2 yr lease on my 335i specifically with the GT-R, C63, M3, CTS-V and ***maybe*** even Tesla Sedan in mind. I was looking at slightly used AMG E55's in the 60's, but the 335i in the 40's was both more fun AND cheap enough to get out of easily into something else.
Sort of having my cake and eating it too. |

i would deeply consider the car, who cares if its a nissan, a car like that with a v6 pushing out that much hp is amazing, and i live in new work, meaning the awd will help, which just puts the cherry on top

Sweet Ride
The numbers all seem to point to a sweet ride for sure. But Autoweek and Autoline both reported a few months ago to expect the car in mid 70's and I believe Edmunds suggested 80K sometime last month. It is also reportedly going to be an 09 model now. Still a heck of a lot of car for that money, but it starts approaching z06/viper territory which put you into 500+HP range, of course the AWD would make it so much better to drive everyday. I wish they could make it 55k, that I could afford!

Please tell me you made up that $55k number.. Seriously. It better be mid 60's. You mean to tell me I spent $50k on a 335i, when I couldve had a skyline?

+1 for it won't be $55k. It'll be mid 60s, and like any dealer that doesn't normally have a highly sought after car, it will be marked up DRASTICALLY. Even the 350z when it first came out had 10-15k mark ups in my area for the first 6mo ... until sales dropped through the floor and they realized it wasn't the golden turd they thought it was.
GTR will have a waiting list, and it'll be 70k+. I would love to be able to justify buying one. |
