Carbahn vs Protuning Freaks bootmod3

Hey guys, was just wondering if anyone had a chance to run the protuning freaks software for the m850xi or m8 for that matter?

I did not know PTF "unofficially" had one for the G15 models..... I spoke to one of their techs 2 weeks ago and the answer was "they are working on it". Meanwhile I will shoot for the JD performance one in Germany as for me it's the best bang for the buck and can drive to them in about 4 hours and enjoy a trip on the German Autobahn. Their numbers with a stage 1 (only software) are very promising and it has been reviewed too. When the bootmod 3 for the G15 series arrives, I will evaluate the differences and perhaps give it a try. I will ask them if I can transfer or upgrade my current BM3 licence which is linked to my F06 650i that is about to be sold and merge it with a new licence.
I think with the guys at PTF and their BM3 for basically any BMW model you cannot go wrong as their experience and quality of their products (tunes) is widely recognized.

I know they don't list it on their website, but they do have one available through some dealers. Just trying to get an understanding on drive-ability versus stock and how much of a risk this truly is.

Based on the fact that you can get a factory matching warranty, I'm sure carbahn is probably the best way to go... but considering that its $2500... it is a pricey pricey option.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
It's my understanding that Bootmod3 is available for the M850 but it requires an OBD Patch of the ECU's in order for it to work. This must be done in person...it can not be done remotely. The folks at BM3Tuning.com said they could turn it around in 24 hours if I sent it to them. In other words, I'd have to take the ECU's out (I think there were two actually), send both to them and they would patch them and send them back the same day. Not too bad...just a day or two of downtime.
