Weekend out in Tx.

Beautiful day out yesterday so a customer of mine decided to take me out to show me his weekend toys.

First up: Cessna L-19

Found 7yrs ago in a U.S. Army marked crate never assembled but manufactured in 1952. one of few that was never sent to korean war & vietnam war.

Flying over Motorsport Ranch Cresson at 5,000 ft 143mph. feels like a stand still.

Made our way to Hard Eight BBQ after 40 min flight.

Back to Motorsport Ranch...

hard 8 bbq is THE BEST. I used to fly from ACT or PWG to Stephenville for lunch...ride the golf carts...mmmmmmm

yeah ill have to say their beans were the best i have had... let alone all their meats are good. i guess you cant go wrong at hard eights.

ran out of carts had to taxi at the end of the run way and walk...

nice! Buddy of mine is part of the "Sport Air Racing League". He lives round Austin but folks from all over go to almost monthly fun meets. If you are interested send me a PM and I'll get you in touch with him...

imma have to try driving out to hard eights next time instead of flying. from the sky the roads look like fun country roads all the way from motorsport ranch...
