Suspect that on a percentage basis, far more M8's are ordered with B&W audio than conventional 8-series vehicles. If part availability is very tight, could this be the reason? It isn't in BMW's interest to have otherwise completed vehicles held up in Germany or waiting at the port for the parts to come in. Makes no sense otherwise.

My XB7 which was delivered 12/31 has the B&W. As do many of the B8's. Seems like they're saving what's left of them for high end builds.

The next gen 7-Series is rumored to come standard with a redesigned B&W system, along with a more powerful optional version.

Logic dictates that BMW probably doesn't want to continue production of a system destined to be replaced in the next year or so.

Since they didn't change the I-drive version, I'm guessing the larger screen should be plug and play for non-LCI cars. I'm hoping I will be able to do that upgrade on mine.

An M8 doesn't count as a high end build?

2024 will discontinue 4 and 8 series completely. 2026 will bring back 6 series in new look. 8 series is overbudget and make no profit. Kill 2 things to create 1 solid. As it's used to be. Me personally, I agree and would do same step forward to illuminate extra expenses. Audi will do as well removing rs6 and rs7 from production, since these models don't bring money into pocket.

Fine just so long as they offer that upcoming 6 in a coupe as well as the sedan.

Am also thinking if the only changes are the bigger screen, the grill and m style wing mirrors … how hard would it be to retrofit these ??

The BW has to be in the Alpinas since the rest of the car is hideous. I still think the B8 is the nicest 840i money can buy.

Highly doubt any of that is true, especially the 4 series!

Yep!

The B8 exhaust tone is horrible, style Meh, the rims are cholo as hell and the performance is lacking.

Guess my desire for sophistication and performance is just to much to ask for and the B8 can't provide...... and I had the opportunity to buy, drive, and experience one in person, but what do I know lol.

Now I'm fixing to take delivery of a 1 of 1 2016 Viper GTC TA 2.0 that FCA was the registered owner of and that thing is just so raw and nasty it makes a Huracan look dull.

Yes.

They want my Demon, and frankly I'm bored with it and I'm not even an "exotics" fan. I can easily look past the Senna and P1 they have there without feeling a "wow look at that vibe.

The Highlighter viper is just on another level though!

when would we expect to see the model builder on the BMW website change to the 2023 model?
