Been stuck in quality check for 2 weeks, either there must have been a ton of issues or maybe they are making it absolutely perfect LOL. I wonder what tiny chip based piece is missing that they are waiting on? I had a march allocation so I thought then the dealer said they didn't get it, assuming because of the LCI switchover, so they traded for another dealers Jan build. Bummed I couldn't add anything to it, originally ordered mine with the carbon seats and M drivers pkg for the speed limiter(track use only of course ;-). Wonder why the M Driver's cant be port installed since it's just software?

My M850 vert is stuck at factory with stop sale- was supposed to be here 1/15- now no one knows- will wait and order a 23 next month.
This is bs. dealer has 13 other cars in same situation.

Serious note; My neighbor has a Suburban that needs a battery and no where in PHX has one. I've been helping call places as well, so he put order in with I think Auto zone and it will show up next week. He has one that will work power wise for now but has to be strapped in with rope. lol

My 2022 M4 Comp AWD has been in QC for 12 weeks and I know that it's for the CID (Center Information Display unit). I have spoken to MANY people at BMW and nobody can say when it will be retrofitted, only that they're aware and they're making it a priority. It's honestly the worst experience, each person I speak with tries to pass the buck to someone else, then puts it on the CA/Dealer to handle it when they can only know what the factory tells them. It's a joke.

I have Week 46 build for M850i coupe and still stuck in quality check. With no end in sight, I am thinking abandoning my order and getting 2023 instead. BMW has said base price for the 840i is unchanged for 2023 but has no announced price on M850. An increase cost is a small concern. Bigger deal is that I am not too happy about taking possession of a 2022 after 2023 start production in March 2022. Forums seem to indicate that week 1 build from 2023 were delivered already for many.

Thoughts on getting 2023 allocation and time to delivery?

I'm wondering/fearing that the 23's will just have to get in line behind the 22's that are sitting there waiting. Who knows when they might show up.

Yep same situation been in QC for 7 weeks. And I didn't put B&W on the build thinking it would be built quicker. Jokes on me I guess!

Same situation here - ordered my m850i coupe in October, been in Quality Check since Nov 22nd. The recall tool indicates that it’s missing an audio receiver part, even though I ordered mine without B&W..

If you put in an order for a 23 does it then have to sit in line behind yours that is already in line for parts though? Who knows when the 23's will actually show up here.

I contemplated ordering another, and my CA has an allocation for this month, but I feel like at this stage, it'd be like watching two turtles run a 400 meter race. It's so tiring dealing with BMW because they just don't care.

Are they offering to replicate your build & then let you decide which you want later? Any downside?

Yes, no downside (aside from a slightly higher cost in the newer one), but my CA was supposed to have emailed me the new prod. number last week and hasn't, and I'm just getting tired of all of it.

Ended up canceling my order and will be closing the deal on Java Green M8 tomorrow. It's literally exact same spec except exterior color. With M Performance exhaust and all. It'll probably take 2 weeks to get here from Colorado.

Exactly as if they truly have an allocation the prod number is confirmed within 24 hours even if Individual is involved. Granted the build date may come after but the prod number shouldn't be a challenge.
