3 of us E90 guys went for a test drive. Here's my take on it.

Exterior:
Exterior is looks much better in person. There is noticeable less orange peel on their cars than ours. The rear tail lights look great at night. The lines of the car flow well, just like the previous version.

Interior:
Interior is much improved. The gauges and navi all looked very nice. Their Navi touchscreen and colors were much better than ours. The car has a very trick rear view camera. There are lines to display where your car is going/the width of your car. I would love to have that feature. The button layouts are a bit cluttered, the car doesn't feel as ergonomic as our cars. The driver's seat was a bit uncomfortable and didn't support you the way they look like they would. I definitely prefer the Sport Seats of my E92.

The dash looked like a standard Nissan dash. A bit cheap and rubbery. While improved from the G35, I still prefer the simplistic nature of the BMW.

Driving dynamics:
The first thing I noticed is the exhaust note is improved on. It sounds even better than the G35. I wish my car sounded this good stock! The car was decently fast, however, the 335i felt much faster. The car was an automatic. It revmatched perfectly on downshifts. The automatic in sports mode does not shift up for you. It will continue bouncing off the rev limiter if you do not shift. The brakes I did not push hard or test.

The steering feel felt better than what I expected. It wasn't nearly as good as the BMW, but better than the Lexus IS350. It felt better than the Audi A4 as well. The handling was okay. The tires seemed to squeal at every given opportunity. I must've squealed the tires at least 5 times. The handling however was predictable, so I give them that.

Last thing I'll part you with was what our saleswoman said to us at the end. "Thanks, I've never been drifting before."

Hope you enjoyed my mini-review.

^^ Nice write-up!

I did notice that the tires squealed a lot more in the G37 vs. my G35 (and 335i as well). At low speeds, I squealed around many corners - but at high speeds, the weight transitions and cornering felt smoother and flatter than both the G35 and 335i's I've driven.

FYI, I currently own a G35 and my friend and I drove the 335i and G37 back to back a few weeks ago...

A few other notes:
While the G37 does rev-match better, there is a much longer delay between shifts when at WOT.
The 5 speed auto doesn't seem to match the power band like the 6 speed does (I may be biased though).
Although the 335i definitely feels faster, I did notice a lag when stepping on the gas - It seems to me that it's more like poor throttle response rather than turbo lag.
I wasn't sure where the traction control/electronic nannies were on the 335i, but assuming they were active, they are much less intrusive than on the G37.

I didn't drive a manual but last week MV Infiniti received 8 G37s.

all of the dealers consignment cars were automatics. Dealer inventories have slowly been arriving over the last week - so there are a few people around (on g35driver --> now myg37.com) that have picked up manuals. Most if not all of the cars arriving now are pre-sold though...

Drove a G37 6spd. last week with only 20 miles on it:

- Fast; but think the 335i is quicker
- Better shifting then the G35, but hard to really judge against a 3-Series since it was so new
- Quiet, but sweet exhaust note, especially above 4k
- Handled well, very little body roll
