Ceramic coating?

Hi all,
Has anyone had any experience with the ceramic coating process? If so, what does pricing look like for an 8 series?

Thanks in advance

The G05 has lots of discussion on it. My 8 has GTechniq ceramic and water repellent coatings. I did it and it was about £120. If a detailer did it, it would be about £750-850. However, they would do a much better job of the polish stage, the rest of the detail is easy hence why I did it. My X6 had it and it is worth it - if you wash you car properly!

I got a quote for $800 that includes the windshield. Add another 100 for the rest of the glass and 400 for the wheels. I'm going to go with 900 for paint and glass.

No more Ceramic for me

I have had several of my vehicles including the rims ceramic coated professionally. I never saw any benefit really. The water shed almost ridiculously when new and about 6 months into it the water shed like normal and you have to Reload it. Why not just wax it? That's what I am going back to, Carnuba.

Coated mine myself, took about 6 hours including washing, polishing and then ceramic coating.
The shine and water repulsion is equivalent to a quality coat of wax. After 4 months its still going strong. We will see how the Texas heat affects it.

In my experience it lasts far longer than wax. My X6 was still good after 4 years. My JCW Mini was wax free after 4 months - now I've ceramic coated it.
