I had a new 540i loaner recently and the screen seemed cartoonish compared to the pre-lci. Just bigger pixels.

My thought is what is the resolution and actual screen size difference. Too me the new display has bigger edges so I'm not sure if you have more picture as in resolution or is it the same just like you said makes it looked zoomed in???

Hi, just wanted to confirm - one can retrofit the larger ('22 and newer) 12.3 i-drive screen into a pre-LCI without any coding needed? Everything else works as is and no other hardware ia needed?
