I agree, one of my friend's friend bought a M5 for around $65,000 and imported it to Canada. He thought it was a bargain until:

2nd week of delivery, the DCT transmission failed - Replaced under warranty
Couple months after - Found out his car leaks water on rear left passenger seat.
Couple months ago - Engine is leaking oil, fuel pump also failed.
Just a month ago - BMW Diagnosed his car and he needs to have intercooler replaced.

These are only some of the problems, not to mention what could arise later on. The car is not even in acceptable shape even by used car standards...

He got the car for almost a year now but the time it spent in BMW for repair and diagnosis is almost half the time. Also, the limited warranty is about to run out...

I know not every used car is like this, but you get what you pay for so be careful out there.
