I think non comp version comes in chrome and comp in gloss black

I ordered the CF grill from BMW and it came with the chrome "M8" script. I liked the black that was on the original so I switched them out. They were both for M8 Comps.

Are they easy to swap?

I may just do that to keep things simple.

Crazy easy, once you flip it over and look at it. There's some clips (small) but it pops right out and interchanges like a glove. In reality when I was switching them, I couldn't believe it wasn't 1 piece molded or injected molded. But BMW does things right I guess!

I did the same thing with the CF side vents, the BMW emblem I liked better on the stock version so switched it out too.

Excellent, not sure how many posts it will take to clear the new-guy period, I think on the M6 forums years ago it was about 5… but I think the shadow line is the better of the two for me.
