I ran into this exhaust for the M850i. It’s from China:

Anybody know anything about it or have any experience with it?

It seems to be for the G15. I have the G16, so that’s one issue, at least….

Because all of the exhaust for the 850 are pretty darn expensive.

You can get a full titanium exhaust for like $1800 from China.

I know, I know, it's China--you get what you pay for. I just wanted to know if anybody has ever ordered one of these exhausts

With other products, car & non-car related, this seems to be the norm from Ali. You likely answered your own question.

Honestly, at that price it might be worth finding out. Even if adjustments need to be made, or it’s not long enough for the G16, most of that should be compatible.

I wouldn’t care where it came from if it sounds great and is literally a full titanium exhaust.

I think it was Agency Power that was selling a something like 1800 dollar cat-back for M3s back in the E9X days. That one had been out on the market for a while when a knock-off made in China came out for 600 dollars. Pretty soon it was thought that maybe it was the same exhaust but AP owners were quick to say it was just a very good likeness and not of the same quality.

That went out the window when a fellow was over there and took pictures of the exhausts coming out of the building where they were made. Some in AP boxes, some in no name boxes. Only one line in there with one set of jigs...

Makes ya think.

You are not far off on this at all. Many companies will still source the pipes and material from China or other places but assembly (weld) them in the states. This is were many of the findings came from regarding the differences. I remember a handful of peeps reported on their M3 that holes in the welds etc, all fixable but just another thing to deal with for sure. I wouldn't be opposed to trying something dirt cheap but I would spend time looking it over and on the install to make sure its all good. Right now the hot topic is all the carbon bits for cars you can find on Ali for really cheap some comes a bit unfinished though and some come just fine. lol It's just a roll of the dice.
