Custom Grill Option

What do you guys think?

I'm not sure myself...You can have it all black or painted any color including matching your car color.

Like you I really don’t like it…but as long as the owner does that is all that matters!

In my humble opinion there are few changes to the outside of the 8 Series that can improve on stock…..but it’s all in the eye of the beholder

I have to admit. That looks better! Also looks like they don't have the Home Depot Cart honey comb inset in there either. Probably for max air induction.

A simple black mesh would be a much better option. This M8 GTE sure looks mean!

Please take those off…. Just no.

I'm getting my new MSR intake installed, the two filters came in red to match my calipers, which will show behind the OEM CF kidney grilles, which I think looks classy and sporty.

I'm all for creating a unique face but they don't work to my eye. In fact, I'd say they look like a mechanical component that should be covered by an aesthetic one. My own subtle mod enclosed (look for the teeth or claws).

I love it, how did you pull this off?

I messed around with various designs myself (using PowerPoint of all things) until I had the idea of creating intersecting teeth or claws. Once I'd settled on that, I took it to a shop that handles full-car wraps, chose the highly reflective silver you see in the picture, and had them wrap it per the design I'd printed and given them—this was the outcome. It was about eight hours work in total, most of which was focused on cutting them to exact shape before wrapping each slat to create the intersecting claws.
