How to shred a tire real fast.

Stock M8 on a tight track. Don’t do this.

Pressure management didn’t help.

BMWs high performance wheel

The weight of the m810 front wheel really surprised me.

38.1 pounds wheel only. Anyone confirm this? Finding it hard to believe. Tire attendant weighed both? I had thought a heavy front would have been 28-30 pounds.

Looks like you had a blast!!!! I should have taken pictures of when I had my X5MC out on the track, I was throwing nobs off the tire at other drivers.

Was installing Eventuri intakes and then read, remove the grill, and I’m like WTF. But to my surprise the grill pops out effortlessly.

What’s the worst that could happen? Break it and replace with a carbon piece

Anyways, the stock BMW intake would seem a bit inefficient (top 2 pics) but no complaints about the performance of the stock M8.
The Eventuri system is not a truly closed system like the Dinan available on the M5, but I can’t see that the Dinan turbo tubes alone would provide much benefit. The Dinan inlet is not available for M8.

Eventuri it is.

PS, charge coolers have not arrived so no install yet. FEDEX customs clearance appears to be PITA.

I did. I ran a 126.9 around Rad Torque track on day 2. Just sliding around turn 1 and 7 which shredded it. Taking it easy, I’m running a 134.

Read, that’s good for a stock GT streetcar. I want to post video but haven’t got there yet. I guess I talk to myself while driving which is weird on playback.

Not weird at all, I've done it plenty. Specially with a new track or track adjustment I don't know. But you can always edit it out too...

May want to invest in R compound tires if you go often.

The Wagner Tuning charge coolers arrive and will have a shop install them next Monday. Noticed CarBahn uses CSF intercooler, but I prefer these.

Inquiring now with local shop with connection to CarBahn.

TheGreatM8 do you have yours in hand now? Install looks straight forward. I scoped it out whilst doing intake. I found a post in M5 forum about low temp cooling system that will help with install. Let me know if you want me to pull it from browser history.

I do not have mine yet. It was taking an additional 2 weeks bc of the color option I wanted. Should be here next week. I'll be doing that and the Akra install then. (should be a busy week) lol...
