Modded 840is here?

Seems like us 840i ers are scarce here lol. I wanted to know if those who own and 840i coupe or gran coupe, do you feel like it has adequate power and you aren’t missing out on the v8? Also anyone with an 840i done any mods yet like tuning or exhaust upgrades? Thanks!

The 840 GC has way more than enough power for me in the real world of daily use.

My only custom touch has been to replace the Ivory White floor mats with black in the interests of practicality. OEM of course…

Yep as Seaford says, more than enough power - especially for UK roads, and I think it sounds great too. Always loved a 6 pot, and it’s exceptionally smooth too as most straight 6’s are. Also taken out the cream mats and put OEM rubber ones in, however now it’s summer I’ll put them back in as they do look really nice. I’ve got a Vax Spotwash that I’ll use to clean them.

Not done anything mods wise - genuinely don’t think it needs it.

I just got my 840 and have some plans for modding it. I agree things are scarce but I believe with the B58 there is a lot of commonality. Will post my list of ideas later for your thoughts

Bought a 2022 840xi coupe recently and have been LOVING it! First time with a quicker car and for driving within the city it’s been plenty of power for me. But i appreciate the list of potential modifications Sinister840 ! Been looking at doing just the downpipes first, thoughts?

you'll need to send your dme to femto in finland first

i currently have the ac schnitzer piggyback tune

but i'm considering pulling the trigger on doing a flash tune, downpipes etc

but here in australia it takes 3 weeks for the femto unlock

That’s very true I need to get that done too but idk what I’ll do when this car is out of commission 😂. Have you heard of any issues with doing just the DP for now and then tune after?

Warning engine light on dashboard for sure but not certain it'll cause problems.
But I wouldn't risk it.
