Finally hit the magical 1200miles today and looking forward to playing.
Agree. Don't get me wrong the 5 series is great, but just couldn't get another one. The 8 series is something different (in a good way). For me I think it's the sleekness of it.

You mean some similar type coupe that they will replace the 8 coupe with. They unfortunately seem to be moving away from coupes

Which is frustrating for those of us who are coupe buyers. I have a Jeep for 4d/SUV needs, but otherwise I have no reason for a sedan.

SUVs dominate the Washington DC area. And sales around the world are increasing at the highest rate for larger SUVs.

Soon your choices will be all electric Tesla type sedans; and/or big SUVs.

I remember the time some years ago where SUVs were considered gas guzzlers and bad for the environment and now they are all anyone is buying. My dealer says its some huge percentage (I forget the number they said) of all the cars they sell. Now I have to pay a $1000 gas guzzler tax for an M8.

100% agree with you, this disproves if gas prices raise it will reduce what people buy for gas "guzzlers", all it does is delay till people adjust to the new normal prices. I remember getting mad when it hit over 2.50$ a gallon, but now I pay premium price and don't give two thoughts. lol

Just checked used car prices here. 2019 with 10t miles for 65'000.- What a blatant depreciation.

Who here remembers when Obama used to say the people that drive Suvs and everyone who keep their houses at 70* were the cause for climate change?

My TRX gets 7-8mpg and filling all 30gals up with premium is just normal operation at this point and don't even look at the #s.

Fact is good performance isn't cheap. Still wish they would be able to bring in the good BMW diesels.

Light Duty Trucks (incl SUV's) are exempt from GGT; always have been.
