IIRC Prince had a purple 6 series. Man he would've liked this one.

Very hot!! Not exactly low-profile; might be mistaken for either a gang-banger or Elton John

Then you haven't seen the G80 grill yet. Lol

This is acceptable for me.

I prefer this grill over G80 any day

You're not the only one that isn't feeling it. Nice car, but I don't like the color on that particular model.

I'd love to see Daytona on one of these. It's a little deeper in color which is more to my tastes.

Yes, I wonder why the person who bought this car didn't consult you on which color to paint it.

because that is a retired lead based paint color that BMW has not redone yet in a water based version.

if they ever do... it will likely be called Techno Violet II.

Daytona Violet met the Same Fate.. See above.

BMW has redone Estoril Blue.. but other 1990s colors like Avus Blue , Interlgagos Blue, Boston Green, Imola Red, and Hellrot have not been returned to production models.

+1...never been a fan of a purple car unless my wife wanted it. To each their own though! The car itself is great.

Haven't we've seen Avus Blue, Interlgagos Blue, Imola Red, and Hellrot in recent years on individual M3/4s? I know for a fact we've seen them in the E9x generation and I'm pretty sure I've seen some of them on F8x ones as well.

You are correct. I was thinking of standard production colors.

Several of those have been approved for INDIVIDUAL, with varying reports of success.

There is an Imola red M3 sedan here in Dfw at a local dealer - Sewell grapevine.

The only color from that era that I can recall that has actually been returned to standard production is estoril Blue II.

You sure about Daytona Violet? Saw a 2018 M3C delivered in Daytona Violet. Was this changed recently?

Looks great in the OP, but also totally different than the pics taken in this thread:

https://f92.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1622433

Which one is more accurate?

Either way, I just adore these purple BMWs. If I ever do an Individual BMW, it will be hard to resist the temptation.

It's more the lighting than anything else. In the OP it's darker. You can tell because it's clearly overcast. Versus the lighter is in direct sunlight. You can tell by the shadows.

Yes the different cameras make a difference also. Here they are side by side. Crazy how different they look.
