AC Scnitzer, G-Power and (soon) Dinan are all happy to help owners "fix" the 3.8 sec 0-60 time. Without the harshness of the M8. For any public road, that would be a beast.

I know this is a niche car…and it will be perfect for some…I had one as a loaner (I had a choice of the 850 convertible or an i8, should have gone for the i8) for a week and didn’t like it! Don’t know why bmw bothered putting rear seats in as they are useless, dismantling and reassembling the various ‘windshield’ bits to put the roof up and down is wearisome (although I suppose with practice it gets easier) boot space is minimal. Ventilated seats made a lot of noise but didn’t seem to achieve much. I really don’t like diesels but the 850 oil burner was awesome on the move but clattered like every other diesel on startup.

I did like the colour though..Dravit Grey.

The 8GC is pretty perfect for me..an old bloke who needs to haul his golf clubs around….
